Extinction Algorithm

It was all part of their plan. In my hunt for revenge, I never considered the implications, and I fell right into their trap.
The things I’ve witnessed are beyond anything I ever imagined possible. A civilization so advanced that it has transcended the shackles of mortality and morality all together. Dominion and expansion is their only concern.
And how do they achieve it? Seeding the universe by encoding their genetic material in crystal lattices, using them as wombs as they hitch their ride on asteroids. The same crystals we were tasked with harvesting, unknowing of their contents. Their technology is fascinating, but their ambitions are malign.
I’ve been captured by their generals. A mere specimen for them to study and to extract as much information as possible from, before my race becomes the next victim to their subjugation. They interact with me through their digital forms, but have mastered the art of transforming to a physical state.
What use will they have for me once they have taken all the insights they need? To them, I am nothing more than an inferior species, from a planet they only want to use up for its resources before its drained and abandoned as a barren memory. I need to escape before they find out too much, and find a way to return to Earth.
They must have some kind of weakness, something we can use against them. Because we will resist.
